Summary
One morning, the rabbi received two letters. One of them is from his cousin, Malka of the Lions, who said that he will come visit him. The other one offers to the rabbi to be officially part of consistory of French Jews if he wants to be still a rabbi in Alger. The rabbi's cat will try then to help him in order to pass his consistory exam.
